AMS Girls Track & Field Places 2nd at AAC Championships

The AMS girls track & field team showed their depth across all of the events as they finished 2nd overall in the All American Conference Championships. The host Falcons got two 1st places finishes and five runner-up finishes overall during the meet. Mi'Kayla Gidney placed 1st in the 400M Dash with a time of 1:06.83 and was followed by teammate Gianna Tate who finished 2nd in 1:07.56. Gidney ran the anchor leg of the winning 4x400M Relay along with Ava Prieto, Ryleigh Zuschlag and Trinity Hernandez. The relay finished in 4:40.41. Meanwhile, Tate ran the lead-off leg of the 4x200M Relay and teamed with Addison Weidenthal, Emilia Kovacs and Aminah Robinson which placed 2nd in 1:58.82. Weidenthal, Ava Britt, Addison Figley and Ma'Riyah Thomas completed the 4x100M Relay in 54.88 which was good for 2nd place. In the field events, Nilliana Boggs cleared 4'4.0" in the High Jump to finish 2nd while London Wittway was 2nd in the Long Jump in 13'5.25".
