AMS Boys Track & Field Claim Runner-Up Finish at Final Feather

A strong field of teams provided excellent competition at Friday night's Austintown Middle School Final Feather Track & Field Invitational Meet. Several meet records were broken on the boys side and the Falcons raised to the level of their competition and claimed 2nd place in the field of 10 teams.

The sprint relays had another strong showing on Friday and the Falcons got big points from the Hurdles and Throws as well. The 4x100M Relay team clocked a 47.52 to win the event. The team consisted of Devin Beaudis, Jacob Berni, Cohen Phillips and Kolton Hoffman. The same four sprinters were members of the 4x200M Relay which finished in 2nd with a time of 1:39.81. Carson Jobe, Arion James, Cohen Phillips and Berni helped the 4x400M Relay to to a 2nd place finish by running a 3:53.19.

D'Andrae Rodgers placed 2nd in the 110M Hurdles in 17.67 while Preston Bliss was 2nd in the Discus with a mark of 122'7.0".

The All American Conference Championships will be hosted on Mike Garcia Track and Greenwood Chevrolet Falcon Stadium on Monday, May 10 with events beginning at 4:30 PM.
