Falcons Finish 2nd in AAC Championships

The final meet of the season brought out some strong performances for the AMS boys track & field team at Greenwood Chevrolet Falcons Stadium and Mike Garcia Track on Monday afternoon. As they have all year, the sprint relay teams provided big points and the Falcons got first places finishes in the throws as well.

Preston Bliss won the discus with a mark of 125'2.0" and took 2nd in the Shot Put with a toss of 37'11.75". Teammate Devin Harrison took first in the shot put (42'11.5") and 3rd in the Discus 110'8.0". Kesean Cook also scored points in the field events as he took 2nd in the High Jump clearing 4'9.0".

D'Andrae Rodgers brough home 3rd place in both the the 110M Hurdles (17.97) and the 200M Hurdles (29.85).

Devin Beaudis, Jacob Berni Cohen Phillips and Kolton Hoffman teamed up in both the4x100M and 4x200M Relays that claimed the top spots in each event. The 4x100M Relay finished in a time of 47.23, while the 4x200M Relay ran a 1:40.03. Carson Jobe and Arion James joined Phillips and Berni in the 4x400M Relay that placed 2nd in 3:52.44.

The Falcons have qualified the 4x100M, 4x200M and 4x400M Relay teams along with Devin Harrison to the 2026 7th & 8th Grade State Track Meet which will be held on Saturday, Mat 16 at Hillard Darby High School. Field events will begin at 9:00 AM with running events starting at 1:00 PM.
