Relay Teams Help Propel AMS Boys Track & Field to Runner-Up Finish

The AMS boys track & field team earned a runner-up finish in a field of 14 teams at Friday night's South Range Invitational. On the strength of 2 wins and a 2nd place in the relay events along with strong performances in the throws, the Falcons earned 72 team points to finish behind host South Range who won the team title with 94 points.

Devin Beaudis, Jacob Berni, Cohen Phillips and Kolton Hoffman teamed up in both the 4x100M and 4x200M Relay teams that raced to victories. Phillips and Berni were joined by Carson Jobe and Arion James in the 4x400M Relay which took second.

The Falcons also saw Devin Harrison bring home 1st place in the Shot Put, while Preston Bliss finished 2nd in the Discus. Hoffman earned runner-up in the 200M Dash.

The Mahoning County Championships are up next at Boardman High School on Monday, April 27. Events begins at 4:30 PM.
