Chardon Stops AMS Football

The AMS 7th & 8th grade football teams concluded their 2025 at home against Chardon on Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, for the Falcons the Hilltoppers won both games.

In the 7th grade game, Chardon used a 22-point 2nd quarter to pull away from the Falcons and secure a 44-6 victory. C.J. McRae scored the lone touchdown on a long touchdown run. The 7th grade team finished the season with a 1-7 record.

In the 8th grade game, the Hilltoppers prevented the Falcons from going undefeated with a 22-14 victory. Gabe Ruheim connected with Devin Beaudis on a long touchdown pass in the third quarter. Ruheim then connected with Jorden Wolfe for the 2-point conversion. In the fourth quarter, the Falcons drove down the field to tie the score at 14-14 with just over four minutes remaining when Ruheim scored a rushing touchdown. On the next series, Chardon faced a third and long deep in their own territory, but converted the first down on a screen pass which then set up the winning touchdown with just over a minute remaining. The 8th grade team finished their season 7-1.
