AMS Red Boys Basketball Splits Games at Howland

The AMS 7th & 8th grade Red boys basketball teams were on the road on Thursday evening at Howland. The 7th grade team rolled past the Tigers 52-35 and the 8th grade team suffered a 1-point loss by a final score of 50-49.

The AMS 7th grade Red boys basketball team extended their win streak to 4 games in a row with a road win against Howland on Thursday 52-35. 
The Falcons stayed consistent in a back and forth first quarter, but grabbed a double digit lead with a collegiate range three-pointer from Jaidyn Alamin which sent the team going into half with much momentum. 
The Falcons outlasted last chance push by the Tigers with enforcing defense by Christian Doepker and David Holmes leading to an aggressive fast break finish by Kailen Patterson to send the Falcons home with a win. 
Solomon Underwood led all scorers with 18 points and Carmello Rowe added 10 points. Trent Ferreri scored 6 points, while Kailen Patterson and Tyrel Tate both finished with 4 points. Jaidyn Alamin and Jimmy Kagrise both scored 3 points with Jamonte Charlton and Jalen Young contributing 2 points each.
The Falcons look to increase their win streak in their next matchup Monday January 12th on the road against Canfield.

The AMS 8th grade Red boys basketball team battled but came up short against Howland suffering a 50-49 defeat at the hands of the Tigers.
Jordan Wolfe and Michael Stubbs both scored in double figures with 16 and 11 points, respectively. Torry Easterly finished with 8 points. Levi Prozy scored 5 points, Weston Rhoades had 4 points, Solomon Underwood had 3 points and Carson Jobe contributed 2 points.
The team returns to action on Monday, January 12 with a conference road game at Canfield.
